Sundowner Cocktail
Christina Orso
The sundowner cocktail is one of those. It’s a classic cocktail with a story tied to the tradition of enjoying an alcoholic drink while watching the sun setting
- 2 oz white rum or coconut rum for tropical flavor
- 2 oz orange juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz tonic water or club soda
- 1 tsp grenadine optional, for color
- Ice cubes
- Orange slice for garnish
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Add the rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and lime juice. Shake well until chilled.
Strain into a glass filled with ice.
Top with tonic water (or club soda).
If using, drizzle grenadine gently for a layered “sunset” effect.
Garnish with an orange slice.
